I spent weeks travelling by train from Urunga to Gloucester to knit with our newly formed group called Upstream Knags. (Upstream Knitting Nanas against Gas). We were backing up Groundswell Gloucester.
It was the very beginning of their fight against the gas and Rocky Hill Coal Mine and there was no Gloucester Knitting Nanas group. We stood up for Gloucester in the freezing cold on the gates of Gloucester CSG properties blocking access, and then they make a film and there was no mention. The other two got a very very brief mention.
This Gloucester group have recently made a lovely short film. There are so many mistakes and misinformation in that film I cringed watching. The woman doing all the speaking in this video was out of touch and arrogant whence she first happened upon our little group. She scolded me and told me I was rude for photo bombing the deputy Prime Minister with a NO GAS sign.
Things that make you go Hmmm.
