We do not so much need the help of our friends as the confidence of their help in need.

I think people genuinely like to try to do it themselves but when its all too much one likes to know they have friends.   It's the shock that overwhelms people when its found the people they trusted were not really present when all along they thought they were.

Friendship is a single soul living in two bodies.

~ Aristotle ~

IMG 0182 Gail
My friend Gail . .  we think alike at times.
I love friendship, it is such a special relationship to be considered a friend.  It comes with responsibilities.  Those responsibilities are largely forgone by most people as they run on madly through life not caring about anyone or anything but themselves.  They manage to fool people with empty words and its all done under the guise of caring for everything.

This idea I have of being a good friend is rather humorous to watch.  (for me)  People are such sad creatures at times that it is pitiful.  They are at times, very empty and callous.   Did I say they also forget a lot of things, they say its their memory, but the real truth is they didn't care enough to remember.  This is not a true friend!  This is evident by the way they treat their friends.

A true friend is on the ball about their friendships.  Being a friend is a bigger responsibility than most people see it as.

A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself.

My friend and her birthday cake.
I made a wonderful friend in Kathy, she is someone I feel very comfortable around. She reminds me of a mother ... well I should rephrase that because she is a mother and a grandmother also, but she is someone who I would want my mother to be like.   Yes, she is someone whom I can be myself around and not be afraid to do so.  I am very grateful for this.

“When someone is crying, of course, the noble thing to do is to comfort them. But if someone is trying to hide their tears, it may also be noble to pretend you do not notice them.”

Yesterday it was the solistice and I received tragic news.  Izzy Foreal, who was my friend Lynnes partner was found in the Bongil Bongil forest and his life had expired.  I was in a state of shock reading this news.  I gasped out loud - Oh No!!

Izzy was a legend and he and Lynne were an inspiration to me.  I woke today and my first thoughts at this hour were for Lynne and my heart leaped to her heart and my heart wanted to let her heart know we care how she is feeling facing this difficult life situation.

As we grow up, we realize it is less important to have lots of friends and more important to have real ones.

I love these people.
I am so glad that I have met such wonderful people.  I don't like to mix to much with people these days.  I try very hard to stay away from the trading places of shops and malls.   These places unnerve me and I feel uncomfortable.

I feel these people understand how it is that I feel this way and they are empathic to this.  I really feel I cannot compete and it is torture mostly.

The planet is what I love.  I wish I didn't have to fight so hard because I wish to enjoy her space but I love the fact that us guys (humanity) and the planet are connected.    Therefore I must stand up for the planet where ever possible. I need to tell others what wonderful things are happening for us to be able to love the mother earth the way we need to love the mother Earth.

Very similar to  a person (being) the Earth is the same and there are good times and bad times and times of being not well and times of great health.

Friendship is not about whom you have known the longest... It's about who came, and never left your side!

Today completes another rotation around the sun for me.  In other words today is my birthday and I have had the most wonderful day.   I am now officially 54 years old.  I am not sure if I am supposed to feel old but I don't.  Hope that is alright.

Tomorrow my dear friend is undergoing surgery and so my thoughts will be with her during this time.  I will be sending the best energy I can summon to give her the courage to go into this with her mind at ease.

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one."

~ C S Lewis ~
IMG 8253 Ja n Nik
Ja and Nick become like brothers
Many many lasting friendships were formed while blockading against the Csg at Glenugie northern NSW near Grafton N.S.W.

The spirit was the same in all of us.  We were connected people and this was totally evident by those who remained on the front line at Christmas time compared to those that simply had to go home to celebrate the economic Christmas and keep the sham going with the family.  If they had stayed and their families missed them, it would have highlighted to those that mean the most to us what our gravest concerns were.

But it is easier said than done.   I have no family at all to spend a sham of a Christmas with.  I cannot afford the food and I cannot afford a present for my children or my partner,  let alone half the street as is common today.  There are fourteen days in a fortnight and for six of these I do not even exist.  I have no funds at all because I have no bills / everything is paid.

I will not owe money.  Owing money is very dangerous to your health.  It is a tax from your system.  Reason loan companies were started in the first place.  Many old folks would never use credit or go into debt, being satisfyed to wait until they earned what they needed to in order to effect improvements etc.

So the bond is strong between like minded people  like this.   We knew this, and we knew we were attempting to control the circumstances of our country by remaining steadfast and firm.

This is easy to do when you share the commonality of experience and love. It is difficult to do when you are bullied, oppressed and put down by others.  There is no place for bullies in this world.

Earth guardians are just that .... Guardians of the Earth.  The word "guardian" means to take care of for someone or something else.   I wonder who that some one or something is?

Being honest may not get you many friends but it'll always get you the right ones"

~ John Lennon ~

IMG 1959
I mostly find that humanity does not do well with honesty.  Humans speak about this a lot and the more I hear it the more my spirit says they can't handle it.
I somehow think this is why most of society has opted out of the clause that says its imperative to care for the planet to the best of your ability.   The humanity inhabiting this earth at present is very much a herd mentality.  They are very much like sheep and don't even look up to see which way to go,  largely they are fooled by the economic way of thinking.
Economics and Planet survival don't go together.  They are like oil and water.  The mental energy you have with in your own body is enough to start to effect change.

If someone sticks by your side through your worst times, then they definitely deserve to be with you through your good times.

~ Unknown ~

Sticky Notes

One can look at the word deserve here.  How does one deserve?  Where is the scale and is there even such a thing?

Many wives live through excessively heavy duty times with young children and lack of funds for do-able projects that make life a little easier for the family.

I noticed this with Paul Hogan.
His first wife Noelene was married to him for years and lived in housing commision and had very little but she said she was happy.  Hoges cracks it big after a Winfield advertisement and leaves Noelene behind.

Noelene said after the divorce:
"I had him when he was young, virile and handsome. He's still got a good butt and good legs but she's got him in older times when all he wants to do is sit around the house and not go out. I was the one who had the best years of his life".
I tend to agree with this and can vouch for her feelings being left in the same position myself after 28 years of marriage.  Watching all your hard work wasted.  That bit is hard to take. It reminds me of watching your house burn down in front of you.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”

 ~ Mahatma Gandhi  ~

My Chrysanthemums in bud just ready to flower.
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” and when this happens it is as though even the flower buds are smiling because of this.

Everything,  and I mean everything seems to run well.

Yesterday I walked with an old friend from Bellingen,  Rosalie!  We went out to the beach for a long walk and a seat out there for a short while.  It was so nice to catch up with people who knew me before the town did its little number on me via a few incredible people who think they are in fact credible.  Karma awaits.

My opinion of myself has dropped because of this  meddlesome mischievousness.  This is to a point that I sometimes question why I breath.  How does the universe let such a bad person breathe?   It could be that I am wrong about myself and it could be that I should get past this and pay no heed to the rubbish.

I know what I have done and I have a clear conscience regarding all of this.  I did good and that is all that matters to me and it should be all that matters to others as well.  But typically it isn't.  This year it is 20 years.  I give myself some pats on the back even if no one else does!  I am not going to get the kudos others would for such a feat.  I have no one who bothers to recognize this miracle as it passes by in 2013.
I put a video of a song that makes me feel really uplifted ... Not giving in!!

Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary by simply doing these with the right people

~ Nicholas Sparks ~

IMG 4525 Nate MASHENE Green
Nate Green and Jhi McKenzie making it good for each other here at the Sawtell Club listening to local hip hop.

Having a friend or a partner who you relate to on a level that others find difficult to tune into is a special feeling.  When this happens you might just find  that you have been with these people in other ways for a long time but you just didn't know it or understand it.

When you are young, it is very easy to make decisions with ramifications that can last upwards to an eternity even.  If you team up with the wrong person who seemed so right at the time, this can make an extraordinary life become a very ordinary  and sad life as you watch everyone and miss out on all of the fun things that others take for granted.

So, choosing a life partner is very very important,  I don't think I realized this to the extent that it does when I was young.  I just wanted to be like others.   I would still like to be like this to be the case as I never liked being the odd one out.   It is the craziest most ridiculous feeling.

Its always ourselves we find in the sea...

I  have taken many lengthy walks along this beach with this fine friend.  Both of us adore the beach like it is our other best friend.   Plenty of time for gazing into nothingness and everything, discussing the woes of the world and how we would fix them if we could.
