“Do not believe in anything simply because ....

~ Buddha ~
IMG 9964 Rose Yes!

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.

But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AUNTY KAY ... we wish her all the best for the next year from all of us here at Sentimental Rox (which is just me really).

The aspect of "WILL" in a person is a masculine principal.. The aspect of "SUGGESTION" is a feminine aspect. Imagine them dancing together like lovers.. This is the manifestation of gender on all things. ** Natural Law **

~ Mary-Ellen Peters ~

Miniscule Purple Flowers
My flowers have bloomed, they are so tiny but they must be happy.

There isn't one thing on the planet that is not governed by the gender principal.  It is deep and it goes on and on and on forever.  The very cells in our body are engendered as well.  Some dance excitedly as others pass by.  On a microscopic level, everyone has a better time if the whole is happy.

I like to consider this would be the way the world was with out war and without famine and disease caused by borders put in place by governments stopping people from accessing sovereign food.

When someone you love dies you don't get over the grief by forgetting, you get over it by remembering.

IMG 2313 Butterfly
I won't forget this butterfly, landing next to me on
the flowers outside the hall when I felt very low at Cameby QLD.
I've lost my mother, my father and my sister.  I have said the big good bye to the people who reared me, Jack and Edith.  I have lost friends too many friends prematurely.    I lost someone so close to me only three years ago,  RIP Texsy.

I haven't lost children to death, but I have lost children.  This feels like a death would without a funeral.  It is in some ways a lot more painful and difficult because there is no ending to this type of grief which I feel inside and its there all of the time, it never ever leaves.

Even in life there is an escape - this is death.   When will there be an end to the grief I live with daily?  When will this die?  My broken heart changes the chemistry of my body, I know this.  I feel like I am being held hostage by the stupidity of my own children.

I am a hostage waiting for the bullet to be fired.  The one that comes from living sad for too long.

My older children have based an attack on lies and stories promulgated by Paul Rogers who was always a known trouble maker. This is a travesty that cannot be passed over lightly.  I can only magine the karma this will illicit to this creep who have actively perpetrated this from start to finish.

Instead of reducing our intelligence and compassion by denying and destroying the intelligence and purpose of animals, we could celebrate, honor, and appreciate the immense diversity of intelligences, beauties, abilities, and gifts that animals possess and contribute to our world.

 I love Lucy!
"Paracelsus, when describing the substances which constitute the bodies of the elementals, divided flesh into two kinds, the first being that which we have all inherited through Adam. This is the visible, corporeal flesh. The second was that flesh which had not descended from Adam and, being more attenuated, was not subject to the limitations of the former. The bodies of the elementals were composed of this transubstantial flesh. Paracelsus stated that there is as much difference between the bodies of men and the bodies of the Nature spirits as there is between matter and spirit.

"Yet," he adds, "the Elementals are not spirits, because they have flesh, blood and bones; they live and propagate offspring; they eat and talk, act and sleep, etc., and consequently they cannot be properly called 'spirits.' They are beings occupying a place between men and spirits, resembling men and spirits, resembling men and women in their organization and form, and resembling spirits in the rapidity of their locomotion."

~ Aldous Huxley ~

Picnics are fun!
Finding strength internally to forge on when the outlook is grim takes a lot of internal fortitude and this requires an enthusiastic mind.

Life can deals a myriad of experiences and not all of these are going to be ideal or fun.  Varied experience is necessary for learning, but some experiences we could  do well with out.

But, because we live in time and are governed by time we will in the end die in time, one must look like as a  child would under every pebble on our path of life,  glean from these experiences with child like enthusiasm.

We are what we think we are.  If we think we are not good enough then we wont measure up at all.  The first rule of thumb is to imagine how we would like a situation to turn out.  Meditate on this and if it is meant to be then the energy which you invested meditating will all come into its true purpose.

Energy never stops.  Energy never ceases.  Energy never sleeps.  Energy could be likened to Rust!

Imagination is everything, it is the preview of life's coming attractions.

~ Albert Einstein ~

Phenomena of imagining ... I see a female image here not just a succulent
Imagination is what allows our physical body to escape the forces that hold us in one place.  Our imagination is therefore like medicine, it remedies monotony stemming from being here where we exist on the plane of the mundane.

MUNDANE: [muhn-deyn, muhn-deyn] adjective
1.  of or pertaining to this world or earth as contrasted with heaven; worldly; earthly: mundane affairs.
2.  common; ordinary; banal; unimaginative.
3.  of or pertaining to the world, universe, or earth.
1425-75; < Latin mundānus, equivalent to mund (us) world + -ānus -ane; replacing late Middle English mondeyne < Middle French mondain < Latin, as above

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back

 IMG 9660 Killawarra Kookaburra

Words of wisdom

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best that others can do, but to the best that you can do.
I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.

I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.

I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.

I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned that I'm getting more and more like my grandma, and I'm kinda happy about it.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned that you should never tell a child her dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if she believed it

I've learned that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend someone is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.

I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned that if you don't want to forget something, stick it in your underwear drawer.

I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned that the clothes I like best are the ones with the most holes in them.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that there are many ways of falling and staying in love.
I've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves, get farther in life.

I've learned that many things can be powered by the mind, the trick is self-control.

I've learned that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar, you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.

I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us.

I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned that although the word "love" can have many different meaning, it loses value when overly used.

I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

Three things cannot be long hidden: The Sun, the Moon and the Truth!

September Full Moon - Pisces Super Moon

This reminds me of four things you cannot get back.  The spoken word, the sped arrow, the past life and the neglected opportunity.

You can't go past the promise of the truth being revealed though, or the warmth of the dawning sunshine and the light of a silver moon on a dark night.
Happy Birthday, It's your 26th birthday Jesse [David William] Baldwin.  One day I hope you can see the truth of how much I loved your very breath.  My wish is that  this next year is a great year for you and Chelsea.  I miss you so much.

All things are possible...
I once learned that to achieve something, you first must picture it in your mind and see it as its already real to you. smell it, taste it, hear it.

  I used to teach our Football [soccer] teams this skill, to see the ball going into the back of the net.  This would inevitably help them to score a goal with confidence.

I know my connection to the infinite, this is the first step.

 We all have layers and layers and more layers upon still more layers.  Everyone loves the analogy of from the Shrek Movie regarding layers:
Shrek:  Ogres are like onions.
Donkey:  They stink?
Shrek:  Yes . . .  No!
Donkey:  They make you cry?
Shrek:  No! Layers.  Onions have layers, Ogres have layers.  Onions have layers, you get it?  We both have layers.
Donkey:  Oh you both have layers!  You know, not everyone likes onions.
From Wikipedia

I love the analogy from the movie Shrek.
Shrek:  Ogres are like onions.
Donkey:  They stink?
Shrek:  Yes…NO!
Donkey:  They make you cry.
Shrek:  NO! LAYERS! Onions have layers. OGRES have layers. Onions have layers…you get it. We both have layers.
Donkey:  Oh, you both have layers. You know, not everybody likes onions.

When I use my life in any way that makes another person's life better, is when I feel most alive.

~Liz Murphy~

IMG 0771
Looking out my backdoor highlights to me how blessed I am in reality.
My children are healthy and alive and they all have employment.  I am so proud of  my three children.  After a number of years of serious all consuming emotional pain, I am presently learning  to separate myself from the emptiness that rises up inside when my thoughts are focused on them.

I am getting better at getting a healthy distance from my own emotions now, or so it appears.  I am not sure if this is healthy, but I have to do this to survive long enough and to gain the ability to hope this changes before I die.  This will be the day I will be able to say. . .  I am now truly happy.

If a person feels little pain.. they in turn also feel little joy.   This is temperament, and it needs to be balanced.

Words of wisdom: I've learned along the way...... Part One

Awesome new friends with the darkness lurking in the background.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
~~~
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
~~~
I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.
~~~
I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.
~~~
I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.
~~~
I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
~~~
I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
~~~
Because of a really dark person and their awful situation I ended up meeting some really nice people despite the rough introduction for us all.  Some days I just shake my head thinking about how so many people were taken in by the darkness.  People are all very different and they see situations that way also.
It's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.
I have heard Manly Palmer Hall say a similar thing.  Its not what happens to a person that shapes them, it is what they do about it that makes the difference.
