One should never be unequally yoked.  The Yoke being the basis of keeping the team running smoothly.  I guess the basis of that cliche is that you cannot have an old horse and a flighty horse yoked together, they will only cause each other harm.

The issue of Gay Marriage should be between a man and a woman"

~ Arnold Schwarzenegger ~

Job Butler b.1842 d.1929 (Samuel's Brother) & daughter,
Job Butler

I hope you are laughing because that is a quote from Arnie and its one of those foot in your mouth situations where once its said that's it, it can't be un said.  Anyway, I thought it was funny enough to include here.  To finish it off here is a run down on a man and a woman as Arnie calls them.  I wonder what they would have thought of gay marriage?

Job Butler was my Great Grandfather Edward Butler's brother.  Edward married Christina Flint and they lived outside of Stanthorpe in NSW at an area known as Maryland.   He was not as known as a Job who was considered a pioneer of the Stanthorpe area.  So these folk here are my relatives and this is my Great Great Uncle. I am fairly sure these two brothers father's name was Samuel Butler and Samuel was the first veterinarian in Armidale NSW.

Samuel Butler married Patience Taylor of Rimbanda a property outside of Armidale on the road which is now known as the New England Highway.  This property was just south of Uralla NSW.

So there is no more to say but to understand there is much to learn in walking it out and going through what it is that we must traverse in life to give us the lessons we need.  This my beloved enemies whom I am well pleased for they teach me the most.

The first step is to recognise that this is very real and it is a lesson for me and for all of those I come into contact with as well.  The lesson is simple, its not what we go through but how we deal with what we go through that matters.  In the past I have been less than gracious, others have been deceitful and still again others have simply been along for the ride.

I have sat and perched for some time and I waited patiently for others to make changes because I know all change changes everything and this didn't happen so there is no other recourse but to do the movement or action myself  .... all things in the universe are governed by movement, and this situation is no different as it also requires movement by me.

“As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of quality, care, and love – even the most simple action.”

Today is the day that most of Australia celebrates Christmas.  I stopped doing this although I still would love to spend this time with family.  I no longer participate in the corporate model the economic Christmas which it has become.  It is the story of Christ and it was traditionally a mass in the Catholic Church and therefore I conscientiously object.

Krystos which means Oil in the Greek language, this is real or Krystalla light too however  much has been changed from what the true meanings were portraying with the original writings.  These horrid and misleading translations are compliments of the Roman Catholic Church to which all other Christian religions flowed from that are in our midst today.   This version is a feint and empty example of what true spirituality is.

Taking out of the Septuagint any writings from the Hebrew Canons regarding reincarnation must have been done purposefully and maliciously because it is used to control the people with fear instead of the people understanding the true meaning of life and the lessons we are here on the Earth plane of time to learn.  These lessons in turn lead us to evolve on to a higher plane of existence with our spirit body.  All the time working our our Karma as some like to call this.  It is working out our action and reaction and whether or not we learned from what we were born out of.

A journey of 1000 Miles begins beneath ones feet

~ Lao Tzu ~

IMG 2086

The bible quotes to 'work out your salvation in fear and trembling'.  Phillipians 2:12.  I think this is akin to work or action and words.  One cannot say they want to do something and make no physical action towards this happening.  "One must walk it out to work it out" is what I think about life.

Today, we did something that affirmed this for my partner and myself as we walked it out and made a commitment to our future together, at Deepwater.

Things are changing so fast in my life at the present moment.  I am not personally making some of these decisions that are being made around me, but they do affect me.   All I have to do is keep my attitude in check. I am absolutely aware of it.

Its not easy being the only one left standing and the power base moved to four against one.  That sucks but in lieu of feeling rotten I have decided to change my attitude to this.  I let this make me annoyed enough to do something about it.   Stay tuned because exciting and awesome big things are around the corner in 2015.

“Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.”

~ Mark Twain ~

IMG 1974
If others mistreated you in the past it doesn’t mean you have to be a conduit that allows them continuity in that hurt.
Forgiveness sounds wishy washy.  It's not, it simply takes the power out of the hurtful persons sails by not allowing their destructive actions to have any power over you any further into the future.  Its a nicer way of sorting it for yourself.
I do tend to think that the old eye for an eye technique has merit though.  Its akin to recognising all peoples sovereignty and their rights to protect themselves against an enemy or force.
Sovereign in this sense means nothing rules over me.

Our world is a manifestation of relativity.

~ Alan Watts ~

IMG 5046 Familiar site in Western NSW
There is no life without water on all levels.

The connection that life has to water is the same relationship as the warp and the weft of the weave have to each other.  The weft and the weave as two go together to form material.  Alone they are a bunch of threads.

We need water!  That is a given. There is no life without water.  That is what water gives us - Life. My thoughts jump to the symbiosis of this situation and given that all things in nature have a pay off.  I think people reduce this down to an adage of "You win some, you lose some".  There is no birth without death, that is how it works with nature.  Back to the original question. If water gives us life, what do we give water in that equation?

What benefit does water get from humanity?

I was thinking deeply about this principal and with my curious mind, I wonder what do we do that benefits water.   What is that particular association on that level?   Any thoughts?

The only thing I could ascertain was "Protection".  Perhaps this is the pay off.  Perhaps we are to protect the water and perhaps that is the only thing we can do in return for our life.

Paqos are givers of energy. The priests of the Q’ero are called Paqos.

Some are traditional healers using plant medicines, others work totally with energy to heal and to help others become whole.

All paqos are masters of making very special offerings to the Pachamama, the Sea (Mamacocha) and to the Apus, the sacred mountain beings called Despachos.

I could not face making a merchandise of my mind.

~ Petrarch ~

IMG 0323
Merchandising misfortune.
Petrarch's Bio
Petrarch was born in the Tuscan city of Arezzo in 1304. He was the son of Ser Petracco and his wife Eletta Canigiani. His given name was Francesco Petracco. The name was Latinized to Petrarca. Petrarch's younger brother was born in Incisa in Val d'Arno in 1307. Dante was a friend of his father.
Petrarch spent his early childhood in the village of Incisa, near Florence. He spent much of his early life at Avignon and nearby Carpentras, where his family moved to follow Pope Clement V who moved there in 1309 to begin the Avignon Papacy.

He studied law at the University of Montpellier (1316–20) and Bologna (1320–23) with a lifelong friend and schoolmate called Guido Sette. Because his father was in the profession of law he insisted that Petrarch and his brother study law also.

Petrarch however was primarily interested in writing and Latin literature and considered these seven years wasted. Additionally he proclaimed that through legal manipulation his guardians robbed him of his small property inheritance in Florence, which only reinforced his dislike for the legal system. Wikipedia

He protested:
"I couldn't face making a merchandise of my mind", as he viewed the legal system as the art of selling justice

An imbalance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics.

~ Plutarch ~

IMG 5647 Foyer of the Menzies

I  write often of greed being an addiction. It is one of the addictions that people refuse to look at usually.  It is socially acceptable, it makes you look good, new everything always does.  It is disguised as success.

Now its crunch time because everyone has to look at their spending habits.  The trouble is coming down fast around the world.  The trouble in politics has made everything we have ever known uncertain and there are people rising up all over the planet - they are all saying the same thing in different languages, they are all saying "Enough is Enough".  The People get the government they deserve is a saying I have heard and I would say this is true because the blind who crave money voted with $$$ signs in their eyes.

Plutarch obviously saw the same things in his time, so it would be safe to say "Nothing has changed".

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

~ by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ~

Cirrus Irridescence.

That old sorcerer has vanished
And for once has gone away!
Spirits called by him, now banished,
My commands shall soon obey.
Every step and saying
That he used, I know,
And with sprites obeying
My arts I will show.

    Flow, flow onward
    Stretches many
    Spare not any
    Water rushing,
    Ever streaming fully downward
Toward the pool in current gushing.

Come, old broomstick, you are needed,
Take these rags and wrap them round you!
Long my orders you have heeded,
By my wishes now I've bound you.
Have two legs and stand,
And a head for you.
Run, and in your hand
Hold a bucket too.

    Flow, flow onward
    Stretches many,
    Spare not any
    Water rushing,
    Ever streaming fully downward
Toward the pool in current gushing.

See him, toward the shore he's racing
There, he's at the stream already,
Back like lightning he is chasing,
Pouring water fast and steady.
Once again he hastens!
How the water spills,
How the water basins
Brimming full he fills!

    Stop now, hear me!
    Ample measure
    Of your treasure
    We have gotten!
Ah, I see it, dear me, dear me.
    Master's word I have forgotten!

Ah, the word with which the master
Makes the broom a broom once more!
Ah, he runs and fetches faster!
Be a broomstick as before!
Ever new the torrents
That by him are fed,
Ah, a hundred currents
Pour upon my head!

    No, no longer
    Can I please him,
    I will seize him!
    That is spiteful!
    My misgivings grow the stronger.
What a mien, his eyes how frightful!

Brood of hell, you're not a mortal!
Shall the entire house go under?
Over threshold over portal
Streams of water rush and thunder.
Broom accurst and mean,
Who will have his will,
Stick that you have been,
Once again stand still!

Can I never, Broom, appease you?
    I will seize you,
    Hold and whack you,
    And your ancient wood
    I'll sever,
With a whetted axe I'll crack you.

He returns, more water dragging!
Now I'll throw myself upon you!
Soon, 0 goblin, you'll be sagging.
Crash! The sharp axe has undone you.
What a good blow, truly!
There, he's split, I see.
Hope now rises newly,
And my breathing's free.

    Woe betide me!
    Both halves scurry
    In a hurry,
    Rise like towers
    There beside me.
    Help me, help, eternal powers!

Off they run, till wet and wetter
Hall and steps immersed are lying.
What a flood that naught can fetter!
Lord and master, hear me crying! -
Ah, he comes excited.
Sir, my need is sore.
Spirits that I've cited
My commands ignore.

    "To the lonely
    Corner, broom!
    Hear your doom.
    As a spirit
When he wills, your master only
Calls you, then 'tis time to hear it."

My pain may be the reason for somebody's laugh. But my laugh must never be the reason for somebody's pain.

~ Charlie Chaplin ~
IMG 3179

It is unusual how people can be so cruel.  These same people don't handle their own pain well, and when this happens to them are the first to tell you that you should have done this or that to assist them.

I find this rather rude on a few levels.  But I wouldn't find it funny or laughable.  Firstly, if that person laughed at you and told you that being upset about a serious family situation was a waste of time and to get over it and were at the most basically uninterested or concerned, then the volume on their life and what troubles them has been automatically turned down to you.

This is no ones fault.  Its an energy thing.  Our body does this for us because it knows who is who in the zoo better than we do at times.   It is like trying to drink water when you are not thirsty.  Its just not good for you and neither are the people described who delight in making you feel small.

Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself.

~ Chinese Proverb ~

IMG 0675 The Red Door
I taught myself how to open most of the doors I wanted to open.
I feel that education has been milked of the true essence of what studying the classics was all about.  People were educated in these subjects and in dance and music to gain an understanding of how it all fits together.  It was meant to give ourselves a personal and unique perspective on our part.  This was supposed to thrust us into a virtuous life and to be a good "Earthling" and interact with the planet accordingly.

These subjects were held in high esteem and the rich were the main beneficiaries.  Knowledge on a much simpler level to be passed on through the centuries was once the task of only the family and extended family and kin. There were always those who dreamed of places far away and of cultures unlike their own in an interesting inquisitive way.  That part never changes in some, the desire to meet their other brothers and sisters because to them this is what they are.   Learning about our environment so as to have a light footprint and do no harm.  This essence has completely disappeared.

Education today is about churning out farmed people.  The schools are set up somewhat like battery hen coops.  The entire system is on force feed.  The feed is a mixture of antibiotics and *G.M.O grain (poison and something disguised as food).  Children are fodder!  They are schooled in the manner in which the large corporations desire them to think.  In terms of the Corporate outlook and to always benefit the profit margins.  These children grow into young people who are then very easily and successfully manipulated to do the bidding of the large heartless corporations.  These are the same corporations that are raping the earth for all of what she has with no thought to the future of the water or the people.  There is nothing in this part that has wisdom attached to it which is insight ..which is what you are supposed to gain - from education.

This is why I am suspect of education.

Inner peace begins at the moment you choose not to allow another person or event control your emotions.

I chose to make the journey regardless of what others thought and I was well pleased with the decision.
This is known as the act of polarizing oneself to a point and not allowing circumstances or situations sway you from that point.  In the Kybalion this refers to what is the "Laws of Correspondence" and the "Laws of Rhythm".
"Inner Peace" -  Peace on the inside of ourselves begins at the moment you choose not to allow another person (mask) which equates to a false or fake person or a particular event that occurs in our life control our emotional outcomes.
