I jokingly say that I must have been born an undiscovered genius then. Inside of me there is definitely enough madness mixed with a lot of desire to learn. I'm not scared around terrifying dogs anymore like I used to be. That was a mad fear.
That fear was a different kind of madness though. The kind Aristotle speaks of in this quote where there is a mix of madness and genius. These are relative even though they seem opposites.
If madness was one end of a piece of string and genius was the other end of the same string and the string is drawn out into a straight line then they are opposite ends, but what happens when you create a circle with this string? Those two are right next to each other.
That's how it happens.
