Why are these people not seeing it ? We all respond differently. Some people respond in a deep way and some with a visceral experience as if they were punched in the stomach area and totally winded. Usually though we will do anything to defend our mental and emotional homes, its like how usually we will do anything to defend our stuff and defend the stuff of our children. However, the rules have changed somwhat. People are being swindled with facts that are polluted. The integrity of what the mining and energy companies are doing has been under close scrutiny. Their facts and the independent facts simply do not match up. This leaves us with a serious issue of Cognitive Dissonance amongst the people.
I remember when it overcame me. I wrote about it back when this happened (I will find the link).
I went down to the water, to the footbridge and walked out a way. I had fully broken down at that moment in front of the heavens and all the stars. I had one of those moments where I could see really clearly. I understand my world views were being stretched to the limits now. My government who incidentally is my parent and who is supposed to be my protector and yours was totally doing a number on us all. I felt very alone and very awake at that moment. You do when you feel like I did . Like I was alienated again, cast out into the wilderness. It felt like the rug had been ripped out from under me again. I sat on the wooden stairs and I howled. Tears ran down my face as I looked out across the water. I was seriously overcome by this.I knew after this moment that I had to somehow overcome my own fears and become active in educating others. This helps me. It is not in my make up to not want to tell you. Its necessary believe me. I need this as much as you do for me retain my integrity as a human being on planet Earth.
I cant let this go. We have to keep telling others what this mob who are in charge of us all are up to. I have many serious questions. When do economies come at the risk of the people in this century of so called civilization. Are we going to let them do this to us?So what is Cognitive Dissonance
When we hear information that contradicts our world view social psychologists call this resulting insecurity cognitive dissonance. A wonderful and shining example of this is when our government tells us that Csg mining is safe. The government run advertisements on the television. Doing this to give even more of an impression its safe so it must be true.....Then we see a different story on independent media. We see Brian Monks water on fire, and we see seriously sick children from the effects of this mining. In that moment ,when we witness this glaring evidence, we have then lost our sense of security, and now we are starting to feel vulnerable, and then we are confused
When your beliefs are challenged fear and anxiety is created. In response to this, our psychological defenses kick in and they protect us from these emotions. Denial, which is one of the most primitive psychological defenses is highly likely to be the first emotion to take over. When our beliefs are challenged and our world view comes under attack it is sometimes more comfortable to deny its happening. It takes people out of their comfort zones and this is a challenge for a huge slice of the population. For most this is a very uncomfortable place to be in, and eventually our mind shuts off like when a computer is over loaded . It shuts down and our minds are the same, we cannot handle it anymore and we shut down.
What some of us will tend to do is decide to go with the official government line as advertised on the television and in the print media and deny anything is wrong. below are common belief patterns

My life would not be the same
Refusal to belief
Doing this is a way to try to regain our equilibrium . Or, we can decide to look at the conflicting evidence and be sincere and open minded and look at both sides of the issue and make up our own minds what our reality is.
Firstly, just a knowing that these are only beliefs; These are not scientific. It cannot be so if it is polluted knowledge. If the integrity of the very university level education is altered to support the ideologies of mining and economics and not to support truth in academia, my senses tell me to be very aware and very awake.
We need to be very critical about this and we don't really have much time to deliberate now. Don't give into fear. Give into your own reaction. Know what it is right and what is good. Defend your stuff in an honorable way, not a dishonorable way the hurts people everywhere across the board.
It is going to be a tough call with those that desire this is too conflicting with their world views.
They are simply experiencing the emotion of "fear''. They are afraid of being ostracized, afraid of feeling helpless and vulnerable. None of us want to feel helpless and vulnerable. None of us want to have these feelings of fear but they are very real. I guess its difficult for some to accept there are dark elements in our society.
Let the light shine on all of this this will heal us from the trauma of what our government is allowing to happen right under our noses.
"NOT PURSUING THE TRUTH DISRESPECTS OUR GRANDMOTHERS AND GRANDFATHERS". Not being able to see this in our government is probably our biggest danger. We are a bit up ourselves over here. We think our nation is rather exceptional. Our nations people largely support the government views. A large slice of our citizens think the government has their best interests at heart. There is a lot of work to do.
CSG MINING in Australia challenges the beliefs that our country protects us and keeps us safe. This is the cognitive dissonance right here:
- On one hand we have the belief that Australia is the good guy.
As a nation, we need the truth of what is really going on with Csg and Fracking across the entire world not just Australia. It seems to be responsible for indiscriminate earth quakes across the planet in places where traditionally there has never been any earthquake activity recorded until now. This should wake a few people up but still they slumber on.
- On the other hand ,our governments are openly lying to us regarding the entire issue and on many levels. This has been proven liberally. This many people who don't know each other have not concocted this and they are not appearing to be lying. Their very livelihood and health depends on it.
