~ Vera Blue ~
Just so you as the reader knows, I was always a bird in some form or another. From a very young age I had the nickname 'sparrow'. It was given to me by Jack (Cussen) whom I called daddy. I apparently had the skinniest legs he had seen in years and I didn't eat very much, he said I ate crumbs. Not much has changed.
Combining these facts and my love of everything to do with birds, then I should know birds don't keep their young around for the rest of their lives. They just don't do that sort of thing. The mother bird probably never sees her chicks again in her life. She encourages the fledglings to fly off and have their own lives. She encourages independence and personal choice.
My over zealous examination of the situation where my grown up children are involved pegs it as very bird like to be at a distance and not involve oneself in the fray of their life choices.
Today is the 26th February and one of my daughters celebrates her 27th birthday today. I wish her well in the coming year and I wish her happiness and fairness.
