The story of this plant is a long and interesting one and one that needs to be read by all people who have reservations around the use of the plant for all of its various uses both medicinally, industrially, socially or for crafting and for food.  I would say this plant is by far the most versatile of any on the planet.  The laws formulated around the use are from the dark ages it seems.   Either that or we have sprung their game of keeping us all sick, because being sick is big business these days
