I know my connection to the infinite, this is the first step.

 We all have layers and layers and more layers upon still more layers.  Everyone loves the analogy of from the Shrek Movie regarding layers:

Shrek:  Ogres are like onions.
Donkey:  They stink?
Shrek:  Yes . . .  No!
Donkey:  They make you cry?
Shrek:  No! Layers.  Onions have layers, Ogres have layers.  Onions have layers, you get it?  We both have layers.
Donkey:  Oh you both have layers!  You know, not everyone likes onions.
