I have heard Manly Palmer Hall say a similar thing.  Its not what happens to a person that shapes them, it is what they do about it that makes the difference.

Knitting Nana's do something about it.  The Nana's create against the destruction which Csg mining causes to families, water and land. 

Doing something concretely creative and non violent as this has the vibration of love.  The Nana's are raising the vibration at the gate and increasing the energy that the Earth recognizes, thus gaining what I would term Earthly support to see this industry halted in its tracks.
