The process of photographing what is directly infront of you is beneficial to artistic growth.

Get to know your own back yard before getting to know others.

In the  dawn light I admire this spectacular giant in my street.

For me this is how it is.  I do not venture very far from home normally and so my photography to a large degree is in my neighborhood and what is directly in front of me each day.   I feel that I can become more intimate with the area though the medium of photography.
