At first flash of Eden, we race down to the sea. Standing there on Freedom's Shore.

Waiting for the Sun........Jim Morrison

"Sun Gazing is an ancient method of healing that originated in India about 2600 years ago with the teaching of Lord Mahavir of Jain. What it does, basically, is that it activates the pineal gland, the glands responsible for the body's circadian rhythm.
I am not sure what the process is, but for some reason at certain times, the eyes need light which is necessary to re synchronize with the body systems.  The pituitary was once considered a "master gland" until they later found out that it was actually controlled by the pineal gland.
The pineal gland secretes melatonin, which is a powerful antioxidant, controls blood sugar, sleeping, controls pituitary gland for example.

I have long been gazing into the sun in the morning just on and after dawn.  The UV ratio is 0 at these times and a person is at less risk of causing any damage to the retina.

One needs to build up to doing this slowly, ten seconds at a time. Feel the energy that sweeps through your body and keeps you charged up like a battery all day.

Some say it reduces the need for actual food.  I don't eat much.   Practice looking into this light with your feet bare and grounded to the Earth,  enjoy.
