Never fight for a place in people's life. When people value you, they will always keep a place free for you.

Facebook was awash in quotes yesterday.  Quotes generated by the algorithms churned out by what each of us post on the daily on there about how we feel and our lives and what we think about the world and its societies.   I found mine to be particularly true.

I woke up and thought it would be a pity to lose these into the bowels of Facebook.  I decided here would be an excellent place to keep the one I generated and a few of my friends who ventured to do thus same.  If you want to generate one of your own just click on this link :  http://en.nametests.com/

Never Fight for a place in peoples lives

It reflects your attitude towards life perfectly and shows that you are incredibly Diligent and Nice. You've experienced so much in life already and every challenge you've faced has made you so much stronger.
I was truly surprized by this. I often consider that I have experienced way too much for one tiny body of such short statue and I have always thought it made me stronger as well.    I guess I should believe then.

"No artist tolerates reality."

~ Friedrich Nietzshe  ~

IMG 5401 The Black Cat

The reality here is that there is no duck in this beautiful work of a black Persian cat titled 'Love a Duck which is a pastel work by Betsy Shilltott.  Betsy is an Australian artist of the 20th Century.  I often wonder why she name this work this way.  I am sure there is a method to this madness (Aussie saying) and that Betsy had good reason for doing so.

Mick took along a young horse so it could learn the ways of the older horses.  This is a challenging endeavour.

Raising children is an uncertain thing; success is reached only after a life of battle and worry.

I decided not to post a picture of my children, instead opting for this gorgeous boy I met at the Franklins Fundraiser at the Five Mile Hotel.

Its my eldest child's birthday today.  He is 28 years old and its so hard to believe I have not spoken to him for 7 years.  I wonder if he misses me.  I know I miss him.

Happy 28th Birthday Jesse - I hope all your dreams come true. xxx

He has the most who is most content with the least.

~ Diogenes ~

This is something I have been saying for a really long time.  We need to be happy on the least there is in society and then we are not a slave to the economic rubbish thrust at people for profit.  It is sickening.

I like making baskets when the sun isn't shining. This basket I have fashioned is from Wisteria canes  that are from the trimmed vine at the front of our house.  It makes a sturdy basket and makes a great past time.  I sat the heavy things inside overnight to encourage it to sit flat.

"It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves."

~ William Shakespeare ~

IMG 0112 Looking at the Stars from my back yard.

Ultimately, we are responsible for our own destiny. It may seem to us that our fate is predetermined, whether by our genes or by our environment.

What really matters, however, is how we can improve ourselves from this moment forward, how we can change the circumstances that we find ourselves in.

This enormous trans formative force is what Buddhism is about. In this struggle lies the source of never-ending youth and vitality. Words of Wisdom

Visiting this tree and the one on the other side were some of my favorite places to go and sit and refill... re-energize and remind myself to breath.

They lived on a higher plane than other people, somewhere sublime between heaven and Earth among the storm clouds. As for the rest of the world, it was lost in shadows, it was nowhere, it seemed not to exist.

Houses look like pyramids lost in the shadows among the storm clouds
Quote from Gustav's Madam Bovary.

I recall when I first read this part of Madam Bovary that it reminded me so much of our situation of getting away and getting way up high.  It was so much like we were the only two people who existed on Earth when we first moved.  Such a precious delirious feeling it was too.
