“Faith consists in believing what reason cannot.”

~ Voltaire ~

IMG 1982 Gleniffer Magic

I continue to have faith in the vibration of Love.  A mother has an invisible cord that continues to stay connected forever.  I love my children and I just have to trust they know this deep inside.

I hold this to be the highest task of a bond between two people: That each should stand guard over the solitude of the other.

~ Rainer Maria Rilke~

A couple who are no longer a coupled

We always want to remake the other person into ourselves, instead of seeing that they mirror the other side of ourselves.  Some call this the mirror principal.  I would take this a little further and say that its possible to see this principal in most people we meet, not just those we couple with.

I believe it is what people name as 'God' looking at the 'god-in-self and therefore the dual nature is evident at this moment.    As namaste means :  the god principal in me recognises the god principal in you and cannot or should not hurt what is an extension of ones self.

If you hear a voice within you saying, 'you are not a painter', then by all means pAiNt, and that voice will be silenced.

Our connections I painted

And silenced it was. That voice in my opinion is past faulty learning,  and once undone then the tightness leaves and the fun begins.   I painted 64 differing ones of these .. each unique on both sides.

Our highest truths are but half-truths. Think not to settle down forever in any truth. Make use of it as a tent in which to pass a summer's night. But build no house of it, or it will be your tomb.

Those that can move around are able to live differently, and are able to call a spade a spade.

IMG 2274
Moving around modernized
Movement is the name of the game,  Nothing rests, everything continually moves.  Nothing in the universe is still ever.

To ask someone to, "Be still and know that I am God"is in fact asking the impossible.  God is a name conjured to disconnect us fully from our divinity...  Our divinity would not ask this of itself.  It would be akin to asking you to bite your own teeth.

Meme from a Post by Ginette Casswell.

When you see the patterns that are in everything the world over all the way out into the universe and all the way in through your iris and you see the same thing going on and you search further and see it again and again and then Brian Cox tells us all the same thing that I keep trying to point out about patterns.   Habits are Patterns.

Moving communities are another new thought ... communities that stay only in one place for 90days and move on.  I would like to be part of that sort of community.  The energy would be electric.

“The man of meditation inevitably becomes a friend to existence, a friend to all.”

~ Osho ~

A man that is connected to the earth is something special to find.

I met this man called Marty. Marty was just such a man.  He meditated on the very essence of things and I felt like I could see faeries when I was spending any time with him.  He was just that magical.

I guess we were trying to tell them though, at least we did not go silently.
The Glenugie Blockade was a turning point in history because it was ordinary people who held them off not any group as such.  Just thousands of ordinary people who wanted to speak out and say no to Gas mining out side of Grafton NSW.

~Vladimir Nabokov ~

Its all Rust and Stardust - In Urunga.  The Flagstaff on the cliff.

When you take a good long deep breath and examine things for what they really are and get some distance from it can you begin to focus on what it going on.  Its all an illusion and life is not what we thought or were ever taught in any way.  Its not easy for some to accept how it really is.

"In the depth of winter I finally learned that within me lay an invincible Summer".

~ Albert Camus ~

IMG 5742
Urunga where it really is an invincible summer.

I love this planet Earth.  All of Earth is beautiful.  All of this land here in Australia is beautiful and no matter where my feet stand I am standing on sacred ground.

I have been blessed to be with the people who have lived here forever while in this area and especially this tiny paradise - Uncle Tom's Urunga and count those guys as my closest friends.

We journeyed together and laughed and cried together and shared our stories  and our love and buried people we loved but together we explored this exciting prospect I called understanding it.  I am talking about my friend Suzi Kelly.  Shes a local girl from here, her father was Uncle Tom's brother.

So far in all of these years Suzi and I have had an enormous journey of time together notched up watching each others children grow and break our hearts and make us proud.

We took Uncle on the journey of his life together and we bonded forever in an experience that was sent from the heart of the ancestral spirits themselves.  Heaven and Earth moved and we three flew to Uluru together.    I am still smiling about it.   Suzi and I look forward to the time we can retrace those steps together again in the future on the anniversary of when we went last time.

Uncle passed over last year.   He was a month from turning 90 years old.  Uncle Tom was and will always be to me the grandest old blackfellah I ever knew.   We all miss him.

So, I guess my calling is working with my hands and using my cleverness at seeing something made from next to nothing.  Its something I have always loved to do and could have a gallery of things to display.  But I don't.  I give them away.

For me -  My partner is these things.  He is strong and tough, but tender too.  I know cause he sees the little things and he does such a wonderful thing being himself with this.   It is simply beautiful to be on the receiving end of that awesome care and attention.

"The earth is what we all have in common."

~ Wendell Berry ~

IMG 1448 Ochre Sky
The early dawn creates an eerie sense of connection.

The planet is chocker's with disconnected people who do not realize their divinity and the true power at their disposal.

The connection is what unleashes this power.  The power is held in understanding the connection to the love of oneself.  Between Earth and us, there is no disconnection.  It will only ever exist in our own minds.

We effect, and in turn we are effected.  We change, and all things around us change.   The illusion of time has been a long standing paradox for people now that every second of our lives is documented by someone.  Does it make time faster?

Shelby J in her cap I made for her 1st Birthday.
I do a lot of thinking about how to make things and come up with adorable patterns straight from my head.  This little cap is a direct copy of the one I made for myself and for the Donna Franklin for the Franklin's ride to Canberra and for Ian B.

I made it all up.  That is a form of educating yourself.  If you don't how, one first has to try before the universe can assist you along the way.  Too many dare not even try - that is the sad part.

At some point in your life you feel that you do not trust yourself and you need to change. . .

~ Zeba Koli ~

IMG 5140 Togetherness
I had to trust it was ok when I was compelled to paint these designs.
Trust in the infinite spirit that dwells within and without everything on the planet and in the multiverses.
I had to stop seeing myself how others saw me.  Other people do not know what is in the inner most parts of my making.  They have no idea why or from where I derive my ideas and opinions.

For the record - I no longer care what they know or don't know or believe or choose not to believe.

I am now making the move to be independent of all other people save my partner.  When we can afford to have fun with projects and afford equipment for the completion of those types of projects then  life will feel a lot fairer.

We will see reward for effort for all of the tough times we have seen in the six years of our relationship.  So far.

I always disliked politics but really I care about people so it is always going to get political because Polis is the city.

Etymology of the word POLITICS

Late Middle English: from Old French politique ‘political’, via Latin from Greek politikos, from politēs ‘citizen’, from polis ‘city’.

Too many people are not living in their dreams because they are living in their fears.

~ Les Brown ~

IMG 2047
It is a true pleasure to live and photograph in Urunga.

I remember when we first left Bellingen and moved here to Urunga on the east coast of NSW.    I was full of excitement to start again.  It was a tough move for me as many will attest to.

We may have left Bellingen and my marriage woes but others were not so relenting to allow this to happen and this hindered the progress.

Family, or what I thought was family, [those ones you cannot choose in your life because they will always be family] are not acting in a moral manner.  Often resorting to using lies to carry out their endeavors.

This has now run its course and finally I have learned a lesson.

Now, in 2015 its a new life and a new dream and new excitement for the future.  Leave all of this behind and make a new future.  It will happen by starting with living in the moment.  I have to leave the past behind firmly where it is, in the past.

The future will open like a spring bud if we just breath,  that  is clearly my part in this.  Breathing, and moving.

~ David James ~

We have conversations with you out there in radio land and we have to be mindful of what we say.  The same principal occurs when we talk to ourselves - our self talk.  See ourselves in the true light that we are and not the way others see us.  No one else is standing where we are standing.

I understand now, when I was young I didn't fully realize why?

I understand why people hold hands:

I'd always thought it was possessiveness, saying "this is mine". But it's about maintaining contact. It is about speaking without words. It is about "I want you with me" and "don't go". ~ Marleens Diary ~

IMG 5576
Shelby holding hands at the Beach in Urunga NSW

It is a vibrational touch thing,  we need touch like we need water and air and food.  That is just fact.  The children in the polish orphanages died because they were not touched.  That sad and tragic memory of that happening to those children never leaves my mind.

Love ain't fair.  So there you are my love.  Your hearts a mess as the song says.  "You won't admit to it because it makes no sense, but I am desperate to connect,  and you you can't live like this".   Touch.

"Hold the memory of wonder and magic in your mind while you walk through the dark and painful valleys of life's journey. Never give in.

~ Mary-Ellen Peters ~

IMG 7787 Gleniffer Mountains
The Memorable Magic Mountains at Gleniffer. NSW
I lived below these mountains for many years.  My children were with me, they saw this too.  They saw what I saw.

It was truly beautiful.  I had some painful times while I was there, and at times it was beyond difficult.  I used to gaze at the magic of the mountains.  It helped me to survive the pain.  I could stare at the trees and the valleys for ages and daydream.

I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief.

~ Gerry Spence ~

... HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR '2015' . .

IMG 1271 That is different
Magic and Wonder is represented here in craft.

Some say I have a closed mind of belief but that could not be further from the truth as I have noted that my understanding grows and I change my point of view.  This is constant.  However it is good to hang onto something and not have a total void.

The old addage of  "If you believe in nothing you will believe in anything", comes to mind.  Change is a gradual thing and one loses ideologies as they grow and change in themselves during the journey of life.

Down by the River,  why do willows weep said he.  Down by the River.    Albert Hammond knew it was going to get this bad back in 1975 when he wrote that song "Down by the River".  We must hold onto the wonder and magic in our minds while we walk through the valleys that are dark and painful.
